Nakel Mayes is a single, first-time mom learning, laughing, and figuring it all out as she goes just like so many others. With a professional background in special education and behavioral therapy (ABA), she brings both heart and understanding to every conversation she shares.
Her vibe? Bubbly, goofy, kind, and sweet. The kind of friend who will pray with you, laugh until you cry, and remind you that even when life feels messy, you're doing better than you think. Nakel's mission is to help, encourage, and walk through life's ups and downs with others.
On WTF: Where's the Framework, Nakel brings vulnerability and curiosity, asking/answering the real questions that many are afraid to say out loud. She's seen parenting from both sides: professionally, supporting families of children with disabilities and connecting them to vital resources, and personally, as a mom navigating that same journey with her own child.
Through it all, Nakel brings laughter, raw emotion, and creating a space that's real, relatable, and rooted in hope. She's passionate about reminding every parent that they are not alone. While there's no perfect guide to parenting, she believes that with community, faith, and strength, families can push through the hard days and celebrate the beautiful ones together.
Fun fact: Nakel can turn almost any situation into a laugh — even the chaos of daily life — and she's a BIG LEGO connoisseur.
